Eli is a central Indiana attorney passionate about helping his clients navigate difficult situations. Mr. Blackburn is a proud alum of the Indiana University McKinney School of Law and Purdue University. He has served the State of Indiana throughout his legal career as a Deputy Attorney General and Marion County Deputy Prosecutor.
During his career Eli has gained experience litigating in Indiana's state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. He served as an Attorney Law Fellow in the Office of Vice Presicent & General Counsel of Indiana University where he handled a range of transactional matters such as IP licensing, trademark evaluations, cease and desists notices, NDAs, professional services agreement, joint research agreements, and public records requests under the Freedom of Information Act and the Access to Public Records Act.
As a law student Eli was a member of the Dean's Tutorial Society, named to the Order of the Barristers, and represented the McKinney School of Law at the International Trademark Association's Saul Lefkowitz Competition. During law school Eli served as a judicial extern to the Hon. Steven David, Associate Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court, served as an intern with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, and volunteered with Indiana Legal Services.
Eli earned Bachelor's and Master's of Arts degrees from Purdue University in 2013 and 2015, respectively. He is a former United States history teaching assistant and was named to a number of academic honors societies. Eli is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
